I'm going to guess it's because you don't have pilot images matching the generic lists. I just noticed that in the "\PaintSchemes\Pilots" folder for my IL2 1946, there are no American or British pilots (for example). The good news is, you download the ones done by Elephant from www.lowengrin.com: http://www.lowengrin.com/download.php?list.9
